I have been running for about 20 years and have completed more than 60 marathons (including one in each state) and ultramarathons. In 2011, I ran across MN to raise money for cancer. Now, in 2021, at age 52, I'm going to run and bike across MN to raise money for disabled veterans.

Day 2

Today was a good running day.
Coudy and cooler (hight of 62, I think).  I DID implement the program today, mostly.  I did 12 miles in the AM and 10 in the PM, which was fortunate because the headwind increased quite a bit in the PM.  I ran through Montevideo and got some honks and waves, which was nice!
I crossed the Minnesota River, too.

afternoon start
Today's Intake: 3 pancakes, 1 cliff shot, 2 slices of french toast, 3 bacons, 1/2 Jake's pizza w/pepporoni & green olives, a subway cookie, and some (amount undisclosed) cheesy breadsticks and maybe a Reese's peanut butter cup and a gatorade.  About the same amount of water...

It was a nice quiet day, other than the dog incident...2 labs followed me, but not for very long.  They were very friendly, but it worries me with them being on the Hwy, so I was glad they found something more interesting in the culvert.  Tomorrow I'll start hitting the little towns along Hwy 7.  I enjoy going through the towns.
